Happy Independence Day for all Americans!

Bookmark and Share

Tonight, millions of Americans staring at the fireworks will recall that the stars on our flag not only represent the 50 states of our country, but also the greatness of our nation and of the ideals of democracy, freedom and peace.

Once again, we celebrate Independence Day, and even though things might have changed a lot, or little, depending on who you ask, we take pride in our flag and continue making America a great place to live. That’s a legacy that we received and we proudly keep it.

At Idakoos we are getting ready to celebrate wearing our American Flag T-shirts. Meanwhile, we wish all American citizens in the World a Happy Independence Day!

Today is Canada Day!

I love Canada
It’s July 1 and everybody in Canada is celebrating their National Day. It’s a very special date and Canadian people – who are so devoted to peace, progress and good coexistence among their different cultural groups – deserve a fraternal salute and the best wishes from all of us here at Idakoos.

It’s been more than a century since the British colonies north of the United States of America joined to form what we today know as Canada. And now, this country is a strong nation with an identity shaped from their cultural mixture and common values. Canadians have worked hard to build a society where most people live in harmony and peace, accepting their cultural and language diversity. And they are really proud of that.

It’s a happy moment in the country of really cold winters, big lakes and friendly people. And why not use your holiday to look at the huge amount of products that express the joy of being Canadian, like the “I love Canada” Mugs or the “Canadian Pride” T-shirts, to name a few.

Happy Fathers’ Day!

Bookmark and Share
This Sunday, millions of dads will get a big hug from the most important person in their lives: their kids. It’s a really special day where we all show our love for the man who shared so many lessons with us in life, protected us all and comforted us in sad moments.

This celebration is beyond any present we could give to our dad, – at Idakoos we were able to see all the t-shirts, mugs, polo shirts and many other items our customers bought for their dads – it’s about the message of gratitude we have for all he did for us.

That’s why we want to send a huge and honest salute from this blog, to all dads in the world. Happy Father’s Day!

The meaning of Memorial Day

Bookmark and Share
Once again it's memorial day. Most young people just see it as a day off from school, and I admit, I used to be one of them. But given the recent events that brought the need for protection and the Military closer to us and everyone around us, more and more people appreciate the men and women of the military and what they are doing for us.

After experiencing 9/11 many people just came to understand what it is like to be the victim of a terror attack. To most it usually is a sadMemorial Day Tee - Idakoos.com event written in black on paper or a screen, or even some hurried pictures of people in anguish and pain. But once you are affected by it personally, be it directly or through others, you realize that those pictures and even the sound you hear on the TV just don't do any justice to the real feeling of terror and fright. For once we understand just how save and protected we were, how sheltered a live we lived, how we took our bliss and happiness for granted. And I guess that is why Memorial Day was invented, because unfortunately, the better the protection the less people often realize the work that is behind it. That doesn't mean we are bad people, it just means that the people that are protecting us are doing a great job. Exactly the reason why we should thank them on Memorial Day - not only for what they are doing right now, but also for what they and others have done, maybe even before we can remember.
